Dubrovnik international film festival 2006

 

08.08.2006. The 4th Dubrovnik International Film Festival will swing into action from 4th – 8th October this year in the stunning old city of Dubrovnik , Croatia . Usually held at the end of May and four days after Cannes , this year's DIFF in October will be bigger, better and more fun than ever before. Screenings include features, documentaries and short films, most of them Croatian premieres, from 25 countries over 5 fun-filled days and nights.

 

As well as the best international films, there are programmes devoted to the environment and more specifically our seas and oceans. This year the organisers have teamed up with UNEP, the United Nations Environment Programme to raise awareness of the growing danger threatening our seas. Other programmes include a retrospective of an internationally recognized actor, a Croatian Filmmaker retrospective, and on the final day, the Best of the Festival where the best films will be announced by our internationally recognized judges.
